Ground Beef and Cabbage Casserole

 

½ medium head cabbage salt and pepper to taste
Coarsely shredded 3 T. uncooked rice
1 lb. ground 1 can tomato soup (can be substituted with tomato juice)
½ c. chopped onion
1 soup can water


Spread cabbage over bottom of greased 3 quart casserole. In skillet brown beef and
onion; add salt and pepper to taste. Add rice. Spread beef and rice mixture over cabbage.
In bowl, mix soup and water and pour over cabbage. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for
1 ½ hours. Do not mix together. Do not uncover while baking
